"Undateable" Is the Top Debuting Summer Comedy in Five Years
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, May 29.

Thursday Primetime Results:

· The debut of "Undateable" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) scored as the highest-rated summer comedy series premiere on the Big 4 networks in five years, since ABC's "The Goode Family" on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 (1.6). It's also NBC's highest-rated summer comedy series premiere since "Come To Papa" on Thursday, June 3, 2004. In total viewers, "Undateable" 3.9 million is the biggest overall audience for a summer comedy series premiere on the Big 4 nets in seven years, since CBS's "Creature Comforts" on Monday, June 4, 2007 (6.2 million) and best for a summer comedy series premiere on NBC since "Come To Papa."

· The 9 p.m. "Undateable" scored NBC's highest rating in the half-hour with regular programming since Nov. 7.

· "Undateable" is #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and most other key measures. Versus NBC's average in the time period last summer, "Undateable" was up +44% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.3 rating vs. a 0.9) and up +24% in total viewers (3.854 million vs. 3.101 million).

· A second telecast of "Undateable" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 100% of the show's premiere rating and grew by +13% in adults 18-34 (to a 0.9 from a 0.8). The 9:30 "Undateable" ranked #1 in the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34 and all key women and tied for #1 in adults 25-54. Versus NBC's average in the time period last summer, the 9:30 "Undateable" was up +30% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.3 rating vs. a 1.0) and up +10% in total viewers (3.801 million vs. 3.443 million).

· "Hollywood Game Night" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) scored its top rating since February (1.2/3 on Feb. 27 for the show's first Thursday telecast of the season) and matched the show's Thursday high for the season. In total viewers, "Hollywood Game Night" set a series record for most-watched Thursday telecast, pending updates.

· "Last Comic Standing" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in the 10-11 p.m. ET slot among ABC, CBS and NBC, beating the ABC-CBS competition combined (1.6 vs. a 1.5 combined for CBS's "Elementary" encore [0.8] and ABC's "Black Box" original [0.7]). "Last Comic" is currently running down just a tenth of a rating point versus last week's season premiere in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.7).

· "Last Comic" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

· NBC tied for the nightlong win among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 (1.3) and won the night outright among those nets in women 18-49 (1.6).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
