FOX Ranks Fifth for the Week Among Adults 18-49
FOX spins the numbers for the week of August 18-24.

NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 18 - AUGUST 24, 2014

On Monday, MASTERCHEF and HOTEL HELL combined to lock out the competition and rank No. 1 for the night among Adults 18-49. In addition, MASTERCHEF was up +5% and HOTEL HELL was up +15% versus the previous week. FOX ranked fifth for the week among Adults 18-49.

Overall, FOX had:

· 3 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: MASTERCHEF (No. 5), HOTEL HELL (No. 10) and FAMILY GUY (No. 19).

· 6 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: MASTERCHEF (No. 3), HOTEL HELL (No. 9 tie), FAMILY GUY (No. 9 tie), SIMPSONS ENCORE (No. 12), BOB'S BURGERS-SP 9:30P (No. 15 tie) and SIMPSONS-SP 8/24 7:30P (No. 15 tie).

· 9 of the Top 20 programs among Teens: FAMILY GUY (No. 7 tie), MASTERCHEF (No. 7 tie), SIMPSONS ENCORE (No. 7 tie), BOB'S BURGERS ENCORE (No. 11 tie), HOTEL HELL (No. 11 tie), FAMILY GUY-TUE 8P (No. 11 tie), SIMPSONS-SP 8/24 7:30P (No. 15 tie), SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (No. 15 tie) and BOB'S BURGERS-SP 9:30P (No. 19).

· 1 of the Top 20 programs among Total Viewers: MASTERCHEF (No. 13).

Program and Nightly Highlights

Monday: FOX (1.7/6) edged out NBC (1.6/5) to rank No. 1 in prime. Despite competition from ESPN's first Monday Night Football Exhibition game and VH1's final Love & Hip Hop Atlanta episode of the season before its two reunion telecasts, both MASTERCHEF (+5%, 2.0/7 vs. 1.9/6) and HOTEL HELL (+15%, 1.5/4 vs. 1.3/4) saw week-to-week gains in Live + Same Day. MASTERCHEF's 30-Day Multi-Platform Audience is projected at 7.7 Mil to 8.2 Mil (a +35% to +44% lift vs. L+SD) and Hotel Hell is projected to gain a 30-Day Multi-Platform Audience of 4.8 Mil to 5.4 Mil (a +20% to +35% lift vs. L+SD).

Tuesday: FOX (0.6/2) placed No. 5 (tie-Telemundo) in broadcast prime with its repeat comedy block: FAMILY GUY repeat (0.8/3), BROOKLYN NINE-NINE repeat (0.6/2), NEW GIRL repeat (0.5/2) and THE MINDY PROJECT repeat (0.4/1).

Wednesday: FOX (0.9/3) ranked No. 5 in Wednesday prime. SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is projected to see a +47% to +56% lift (5.0 Mil to 5.3 Mil) versus Live + Same Day, with the addition of its 30 Day Multi-Platform Audience. SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has been increasingly time-shifted this summer, with post-Live + Same Day viewing making up a rising percentage of its 30 Day Multi-Platform audience (trend: 25% > 30% > 34%).

Thursday: FOX (0.7/2) tied NBC as the No. 5 network for Thursday prime with a two-hour block of BONES repeats: BONES repeat special at 8p (0.5/2) and BONES repeat premiere at 9p (0.8/3).

Friday: FOX (0.5/2) tied Telemundo at No. 5 on Friday. An encore MASTERCHEF (0.6/2) was followed by a repeat BONES (0.5/2).

Saturday: Repeats of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE aired over the 8p hour on Saturday (0.3/1 and 0.2/1) followed by a special repeat of GLEE (0.2/1). FOX (0.3/1) was the No. 5 network in broadcast prime, tying Telemundo.

Sunday: The NFL Pre-Season Game 2 on FOX ran into primetime, ending at 7:30PM. FOX ranked No. 4 in Sunday prime among Adults 18-49 with a 1.1/4 average for the night. Repeat animation aired from 7:30p-10p: THE SIMPSONS repeat special (1.0/4), THE SIMPSONS repeat (1.0/3), BOB'S BURGERS repeat (0.8/3), FAMILY GUY repeat (1.1/3) and BOB'S BURGERS repeat special (1.0/3).
