"TONIGHT SHOW," "LATE NIGHT" DOMINATE LATE-NIGHT RATINGS RACE FOR WEEK OF SEPT. 1-5

Fallon, Myers Continue to Outperform ABC, CBS Timeslot Competition

NEW YORK - Sept. 11, 2014 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have delivered strong #1 finishes for the late-night week of Sept. 1-5.

Fallon beat the combined 18-49 ratings of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," while Meyers outrated Kimmel and Letterman, despite starting an hour later.

Note that Monday results are excluded from these averages due to the Labor Day holiday

NBC's late-night week was paced by strong Thursday results following primetime coverage of the Packers-Seahawks NFL Kickoff game. Fallon's delayed telecast averaged a 1.49 rating in 18-49, best for "Tonight" since May 22 (Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, 1.52).
