Tuesday Debut of "The Voice" Is Up Versus Monday's Premiere in 18-49 and Total Viewers

Tuesday Results:

NBC has won the opening two nights of the 2014-15 television season among the Big 4 in 18-49, with Tuesday's lineup leading six of six half-hours with the #1 show of the night in every key demo, "The Voice," and a series-record-tying "Chicago Fire."

· The Tuesday debut of "The Voice" (4.0/13 in 18-49, 13.0 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) is up versus Monday's premiere in 18-49 (4.0 vs. 3.9) and total viewers (13.009 million vs. 12.948 million, marking the first time a Tuesday "Voice" debut has outdelivered a Monday premiere in either measure. "The Voice" was the #1 show of the night among the Big 4and won its time period in every key demo - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

· "The Voice" debuted up +21% versus last May's season finale (4.0 vs. 3.3 on May 20) and up +8% vs. the prior cycle's premiere (4.0 vs. 3.7 on Feb. 25) in 18-49. In total viewers, "The Voice" is up +11% versus the May finale (13.009 million vs. 11.685 million) and down slightly versus the February premiere (13.009 million vs. 13.045), pending updates. The fall 2013 Tuesday premiere averaged a 4.7 in 18-49 and 14.351 million viewers overall.

· Last night's telecast scored the show's top Tuesday results since March 4 (4.1) in 18-49 and March 18 (13.289 million) in total viewers.

· The third-season debut of "Chicago Fire" (2.7/8 in 18-49, 9.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) matched the show's series high in 18-49 and set a new high in total viewers (pending updates, the prior record is 9.321 million on Dec. 10, 2013). Versus the year-ago season premiere, "Chicago Fire" is even in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.7) and up +6% in total viewers (9.403 million vs. 8.899 million).

· "Chicago Fire" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC by a +50% margin (2.7 vs. 1.8 for CBS's #2 "Person of Interest"). It's the biggest margin to date for "Chicago Fire" versus an original "Person" -- the year-ago margin during premiere week was +17% (2.7 vs. 2.3).

· "Chicago Fire" jumped +42% vs. its season finale in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 1.9 on May 13) and +32% in total viewers (9.403 million vs. 7.121 million).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
