"The Biggest Loser" Retains 92% of Its Week-Ago Rating, Despite a Significantly Stronger NFL Game on CBS This Week
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, October 23.

Thursday Primetime Results (note that NBC programming was preempted in the New York market from 9:47-10:29 p.m. ET for local news coverage):

· "The Biggest Loser" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 92% of its week-ago 1.3 rating, despite a significantly stronger NFL game on CBS this week. In adults 25-54, "Biggest Loser" maintained 100% of last week (with a 1.6 rating vs. a 1.6).

· In total viewers, "The Biggest Loser" retained 99.9% of last week's result (4.660 million vs. 4.665 million), pending updates. Note that the week-ago total viewership was a five-week high, the show's top overall audience since its season premiere on Sept. 11 (5.4 million).

· "Bad Judge" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) retained 83% of its lead-in from "Biggest Loser" in adults 18-49. In total viewers, "Bad Judge" was up +14% versus NBC's time-slot season average last year (4.329 million vs. 3.791 million, non-sports, L+SD).

· "A-to-Z" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 90% of last week's 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 1.0), while also retaining 90% of last night's lead-in from "Bad Judge." In men 18-49, "A-to-Z" maintained 100% of its lead-in (0.7 vs. 0.7).

· "Parenthood" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by +33% in adults 18-49 and +27% in total viewers.

· Despite facing CBS's strongest Thursday NFL game in six weeks, "Parenthood" retained 92% of its 1.3 rating both for last week and the same night last year. In adults 18-34, "Parenthood" retained 100% week to week (0.9 vs. 0.9).

· L+3: The previous week's "Parenthood" grew by +66% in 18-49 (to a 2.16 from a 1.30) and 2.1 million viewers overall (to 6.317 million from 4.202 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

· Upscale: "Parenthood" is the #1 most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks in, indexing at a 173 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" L+3 results through the opening four weeks of the season, 100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

· Note that Tuesday's "Marry Me" (146) is the most upscale first-year series on the Big 4 in "most current" L+3 results.

· NBC finished within a tenth of a point of the prior week's nightlong 18-49 rating, despite last night facing CBS's strongest Thursday NFL telecast in six weeks.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.8/5 with an encore delayed by an NFL overrun; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.1/5.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.9/6 in metered-market households and a 0.7/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's firstrun "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.4/6, delayed by an NFL overrun). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) trailed "Late Late Show" (0.5/4, delayed by an NFL overrun).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
