ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Grows to a New Season High in Adults 18-49

Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's numbers, ahead of the regular press release:

During the week of November 17, 2014, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live shot up week to week by double digits in Total Viewers (+14%) and in Adults 18-49 (+22%) to draw its 2nd-biggest overall audience so far this season and to deliver a new season high among young adults. In fact, excluding the NBA finals weeks in June, Kimmel hit an 8-month high with Adults 18-49 - since the week of 3/10/14.

Kimmel grew its overall audience over the same week last year for the 5th straight week (+3%).

· ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live was the week's #2 late-night talk show in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

· On Thursday (11/20/14), Kimmel was the #1 talk show in late-night in Total Viewers, outdrawing NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon by 8%.

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m., ABC was up over the prior week by 14% in Total Viewers (2.565 million vs. 2.250 million) to deliver its 2nd-most-watched week in late-night this season and grew by 21% in Adults 18-49 (821,000 vs. 677,000) to post a new season-high performance.

ABC grew year over year for the 5th week in a row in Total Viewers (+5% - 2.442 million on w/o 11/18/13).

· ABC was the No. 1 network in late-night for the 5th straight week in Total Viewers (2.565 million), beating NBC (2.256 million) by its 2nd-best margin this season (+14%).

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F 11:35 p.m.)

During the week of November 17, 2014, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" shot up week to week by double digits in Total Viewers (+14% - 2.934 million vs. 2.584 million) and Adults 18-49 (+22% - 940,000 vs. 771,000) to draw its 2nd-biggest overall audience so far this season and to deliver a new season high among young adults. In fact, excluding the NBA finals weeks in June, "Kimmel" hit an 8-month high with Adults 18-49 - since the week of 3/10/14.

"Kimmel" grew its overall audience over the same week last year (2.858 million on w/o 11/18/13) for the 5th straight week (+3%).

· ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was the week's No. 2 late-night talk show in both Total Viewers (2.934 million) and Adults 18-49 (940,000).

· On Thursday (11/20/14), "Kimmel" was the No. 1 talk show in late-night in Total Viewers, outdrawing NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" by 8% (3.393 million vs. 3.143 million).

"Nightline" (M-F 12:35 a.m.)

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.813 million) during the week of November 17, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" has won the week in overall viewers for the 5th week in a row, outperforming CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (+387,000) and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (+213,000).

In addition, "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Adults 25-54 (+228,000) and Adults 18-49 (+167,000).

"Nightline" saw double-digit increases week to week (1.550 million, 630,000 and 480,000, respectively on w/o 11/10/14) in Total Viewers (+17%), Adults 25-54 (+21%) and Adults 18-49 (+20%), drawing its largest overall audience of the season.

"Nightline" also improved on the year-ago week (1.683 million, 716,000 and 565,000, respectively on w/o 11/18/13) across all key target demos: Total Viewers (+8%), Adults 25-54 (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+2%).

"Nightline" claimed the No. 1 telecast of the week with its Thursday airing (11/20/14) in Total Viewers (2.091 million), Adults 25-54 (949,000) and Adults 18-49 (755,000), beating every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
