UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 3, 2014 - NBC has won the primetime ratings week of Nov. 24-30 in adults 18-49, marking the network's eighth weeklong win in 10 weeks so far this fall. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 2.9 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and 9.635 million viewers overall for the week.

In addition to leading the week in adults 18-49, NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all other key categories.

NBC's two "Sunday Night Football" telecasts tied for #1 among Big 4 primetime programs for the week in adults 18-49 and claimed the top two rankings in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Joining two editions of "Sunday Night Football" among the week's top 30 primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 were Monday's "The Voice" (#5), Tuesday's "Voice" (tied for #8), and Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (tied for #21). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

For the season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is also #1 or tied for #1 among those networks in adults 18-34, adults 25-54, men 18-34 and men 18-49.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and up versus its year-ago average (9.930 million vs. 9.860 million), for NBC's top total-viewer average at this point in the season in eight years (since 2006, 10.3 million). This season and last mark the first two times NBC has ranked as high as #2 in total viewers at this point in the season since 2004.

Primetime averages for the week of Nov. 24-30 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 2.9/9; CBS, 1.8/6; ABC, 1.4/4; Fox, 1.1/3; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: NBC, 9.6 million; CBS, 9.3 million; ABC, 6.9 million; Fox, 3.2 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

"Most current" averages for the season to date are: NBC, 3.0/9; CBS, 2.6/8; ABC, 2.5/8; Fox, 2.1/7; and CW, 0.9/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.1 million; NBC, 9.9 million; ABC, 9.1 million; Fox, 6.3 million; and CW, 2.2 million.

NBC highlights for the week of Nov. 24-30:

Monday

"The Voice" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:02 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 Big 4 telecast of the night in adults 18-49. "The Voice" also finished #1 or tied on those networks in adults 18-34 (1.9 rating) and adults 25-54 (3.4).

"Live Plus Three Day" Ratings: "The Voice" grew by +22% in 18-49 (from a 2.61 rating to a 3.17) and 1.5 million viewers overall (from 9.6 million to 11.1 million) going from "live plus same day" rating to L+3. "Live Plus Seven Day" Ratings: Through season's first seven weeks, first-run editions of Monday's "Voice" have grown in L+7 vs. L+SD by +26% in 18-49 rating (from a 3.78 to a 4.76) and more than 2.4 million viewers overall (12.6 million to 15.1 million).

Despite a lengthy preemption for a Presidential address, "State of Affairs" averaged a 1.4/4 in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall to finish within 0.3 of a rating point of #1 in adults 18-49 among the ABC, CBS and NBC 10 p.m. dramas (1.4 vs. 1.7 for ABC's "Castle").

L+3: "State of Affairs" grew by +30% in 18-49 (from a 1.39 rating to a 1.69) and 1.4 million viewers overall (from 5.4 million to 6.8 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Tuesday

"The Voice" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 9.4 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) retained 92% of its 2.5 rating in adults 18-49 for the comparable telecast in the spring (May 6). In the time period, "The Voice" ranked #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos.

L+3: "The Voice" grew by +18% in 18-49 (from a 2.29 to a 2.70) and 1.1 million viewers overall (9.4 million to 10.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: Tuesday's "Voice" is growing by an average +26% in 18-49 rating (from a 3.73 to a 4.69) and 2.4 million viewers overall (12.8 million to 15.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Marry Me" averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET.

L+3: "Marry Me" grew by +16% in 18-49 (from a 1.07 to a 1.24) and 458,000 viewers overall (3.5 million to 3.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Marry Me" is increasing by an average +24% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.72 to a 2.13) and 891,000 viewers overall (5.7 million to 6.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: "Marry Me'" is tied for #10 among primetime Big 4 series in its concentration of upscale viewers, indexing at a 139 for adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes, "most current").

"About a Boy" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained a best-yet 91% of its lead-in from "Marry Me" in adults 18-49, up from the prior week's 87%, the show's season-best retention at that time. This week's 91% retention also improves on a 69% from two episodes ago (0.9 vs. 1.3 on Nov. 4).

L+3: "About a Boy" grew by +33% in 18-49 (from a 0.96 to a 1.27) and 863,000 viewers overall (3.1 million to 3.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "About a Boy" originals are increasing by an average +33% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.29 to a 1.71) and 1.2 million viewers overall (4.5 million to 5.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago Fire" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour, scoring increases of +6% in adults 18-49 (from a 1.6 to a 1.7), +5% in adults 18-34 (2.0 to 2.1) and +14% in men 25-54 (1.4 to 1.6).

L+3: "Chicago Fire" grew by +57% in 18-49 (from a 1.64 to a 2.58) and 3.0 million viewers overall (6.0 million to 9.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Chicago Fire" first-runs have increased by an average +52% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.10 to a 3.19) and 3.5 million viewers overall (8.0 million vs. 11.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Wednesday

"The Making of Peter Pan Live!" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET.

"Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranked #2 or tied for #2 among the Big 4 in the time period in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Thursday

NBC Sports' coverage of the Thanksgiving night game featuring the Seattle Seahawks at the San Francisco 49ers (7.4 in 18-49, 22.9 million viewers overall 8:31-11:42 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings category, leading NBC to the nightlong win in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures. The Seahawks-49ers game grew versus last year's Thanksgiving primetime game by 8% in total viewers (22.9 million vs. 21.1 million) and set a primetime Thanksgiving record.

Friday

NBC tied for the nightlong win among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and won the night outright among those nets in total viewers, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos.

"Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "Dateline NBC" was also the #1 newsmagazine of the night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 (1.7 rating) and total viewers.

L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by an average of +22% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.23 to a 1.50) and 872,000 viewers overall (6.2 million to 7.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Grimm" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the hour among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49. "Grimm" tied for the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, behind only "Dateline" (tied with "20/20") and tied for the #1 show of the night on those nets in adults 25-54 (tied with "Dateline," 1.7 rating each).

L+7: "Grimm" first-runs are growing by an average of +78% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.30 to a 2.32) and 2.7 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Constantine" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the show's average rating of its prior four telecasts in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9), despite this week's holiday distractions. "Constantine" maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9) and adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.2), and grew by +18% in women 25-54 (from a 1.1 to a 1.3).

L+7: "Constantine" originals are increasing by an average of +70% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.10 to a 1.87) and 2.0 million viewers overall (3.5 million to 5.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Saturday

An encore telecast of "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in total viewers, not including sports.

"SNL Vintage" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET with an encore of a March 13, 2004 telecast hosted by Ben Affleck with musical guest N.E.R.D.) tied for the #1 rating of the night in 18-49 on the Big 4 networks, not including sports (0.8 each for "SNL Vintage" and CBS's "48 Hours"). "SNL Vintage" grew week to week by 0.2 of a rating point or +33% (from a 0.6 to a 0.8) to equal the show's highest rating since its premiere on Sept. 27 (0.9/3 with a rebroadcast of the Dec. 13, 1975 edition hosted by Richard Pryor with musical guest Gil Scott-Heron).

Sunday:

NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" (7.4/19 in 18-49, 21.1 million viewers overall from 8:32-11:13 p.m. ET), featuring the Denver Broncos at the Kansas City Chiefs, led NBC to nightlong wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

The 21.1 million viewers makes it the second most watched week 13 matchup in the nine seasons NBC has carried "Sunday Night Football."

For the night, NBC led among the Big 4 by a +88% margin over #2 CBS in adults 18-49 (with a 6.4 rating from 7:30-11 p.m. for NBC vs. a 3.4 from 7-11 for CBS).
