Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "Sunday Night Football" Continues Its Reign for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/21/14):

NBC (14.008 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1) was the top draw on Sunday with its penultimate week of "Football Night in America #1" (7.872 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.1, #6), "Football Night in America #2" (10.600 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 3.1, #4), "Football Night in America #3" (14.044 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.4, #3) and "Sunday Night Football" (15.910 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.2, #1).

CBS (11.145 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (17.598 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.7, #2), "60 Minutes" (14.009 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.9, #5), "Undercover Boss" (9.217 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7), "The Mentalist" (8.595 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (7.926 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9).

Next up was ABC (5.578 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with its telecast of "The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long" (5.578 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T10).

And finally, FOX (2.580 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) closed out the evening with "NFL Overrun/Mulaney" (3.707 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T10) and repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (2.079 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T15), "The Simpsons" (2.857 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.249 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T15), "Family Guy" (2.310 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12) and "Bob's Burgers" (2.278 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12).

CBS (10.289 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then claimed the silver with a full hour of "NFL Overrun" (21.005 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.3, #2) followed by "60 Minutes" (10.145 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6) and repeats of "The Good Wife" (5.073 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #14) and "The Mentalist" (4.934 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #15).

Next up was FOX (3.997 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) with its repeat lineup of "Bob's Burgers" (6.639 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.0, #5), "American Dad" (4.664 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7), "The Simpsons" (3.529 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T9), "Bob's Burgers" (3.541 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T9), "Family Guy" (3.430 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7) and "American Dad" (2.177 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.0, #13).
