"THE TONIGHT SHOW" AND "LATE NIGHT" DOMINATE ABC, CBS TIMESLOT COMPETITION FOR WEEK OF JAN. 19-23

Both Fallon and Meyers Win in All Key Ratings Measures

NEW YORK - Jan. 29, 2015 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have decisively won the week of Jan. 19-23, outdelivering their ABC and CBS time-period competition in all key ratings measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Note that Monday telecasts of "Nightline" and CBS's late-night shows were excluded due to the Martin Luther King holiday. Tuesday's "Late Show" and "Kimmel" are excluded due to a news overrun in primetime. "Late Show" was in rebroadcast all week and Fridays "Kimmel" and "Late Night" were encores.

For the week, "Fallon's" 0.97 rating in adults 18-49 generated a winning margin of +90% over "Kimmel" (0.51) and +137% versus the week of "Letterman" encores (0.41).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, a 0.41 rating in 18-49 for "Late Night with Seth Meyers" delivered a +78% advantage over CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.23). In their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30-1 a.m., "Late Night" beat ABC's "Nightline" by a +28% margin (0.46 that half-hour vs. "Nightline's" 0.36).
