Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "Shark Tank" Powers ABC to Demo Victory

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/13/15):

ABC (5.872 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) was the demo champ on Friday with its mix of "A Charlie Brown Valentine" (4.535 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "Shark Tank" (7.667 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "20/20" (5.416 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3).

CBS (9.764 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a close second place with its trio of "Undercover Boss" (8.502 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.537 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (11.255 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

Next up was NBC (4.127 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and the season finale of "Constantine" (3.131 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) followed by new episodes of "Grimm" (4.713 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Dateline NBC" (4.536 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.123 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up originals from "World's Funniest Fails" (2.402 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and "Glee" (1.845 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).

And finally, the feature "Safety Not Guaranteed" (0.745 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) on The CW (0.745 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the film posted a 0.2 rating, respectively.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/14/14):

NBC (19.078 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.5, #1) continued to ride its coverage of the "2014 Olympic Winter Games" (19.078 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.5, #1) to victory on Friday.

ABC (4.333 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then took home the silver with repeats of "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown/A Charlie Brown Valentine" (3.914 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) and "Shark Tank" (4.395 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) plus a new "20/20" (4.691 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3).

Next up was CBS (5.410 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its marathon of "Hawaii Five-0" (5.264 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), another "Hawaii Five-0" (5.761 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and yet another "Hawaii Five-0" (5.204 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.366 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up its all-repeat lineup of "Bones" (3.059 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8), "Enlisted" (1.826 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9) and "Raising Hope" (1.516 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

And finally, The CW (0.674 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the evening with second runs of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.965 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.859 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and "The Originals" (0.437 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Whose Line" posted a 0.2 rating at 8:00/7:00c and 0.2 rating at 8:30/7:30c while "The Originals" managed a 0.0 rating.
