Discovery Channel Tops Cable Prime Time for Men and Ranks in the Top 10 for Women and Persons 6-11 in February

DISCOVERY CHANNEL TOPS CABLE PRIME TIME FOR MEN AND RANKS IN THE TOP 10 FOR WOMEN AND PERSONS 6-11 IN FEBRUARY

Discovery Jumps 12 Positions to #8 on the Women 25-54 Ranker and Breaks Into the Top 10 for Persons 6-11

For the first time since 1995, Discovery Channel was #1 in all of cable in Men in Feb. 2015, moving up the ranker two positions vs. Feb. 2014 in L+3. Discovery Channel also moved up 12 positions with Women 25-54 to land at #8 for the month while the network broke into the Top 10 for Persons 6-11 for the month.

Discovery Channel was also up double digits across the board in key demos vs. February 2014 that included Persons 25-54 (up +27%), Men 25-54 (up +22%), Women 25-54 (up 36%) and total viewers P2+ (up +37%) making February 2015 Discovery Channel's best ever among Persons 25-54/18-49, Men 25-54 and Total Viewers P2+.

Discovery's Prime Time delivery in February ranked in the Top 10 in the following demos: Households (up 8 positions in the ranker vs. Feb. 2014 to #4), Persons 25-54 (up three to #3), Women 25-54 (up 12 to #8), Persons 18-49 (up seven to #4), Men 18-49 (up five to #2), Persons 18-34 (up 12 to #8), Men 18-34 (up five to #6), Persons 6-11 (up 12 to #10) and P2+ (up six to #4).

Among the top 10 unscripted shows in February, Discovery Channel claimed two among Women 25-54 (Alaskan Bush People #5 and Gold Rush #6), four among Persons 25-54 (Gold Rush #1, Alaskan Bush People #2, Street Outlaws #7 Moonshiners #9), and five among Men 25-54 (Gold Rush #1, Alaskan Bush People #2, Street Outlaws #3, Moonshiners #6 and Amish Mafia #10).

Additional highlights from Feb. include GOLD RUSH as the #1 series on Fridays in all of television among Men 25-54, 18-49 /18-34 and #1 on cable with 6.036 million viewers; MythBusters as #1 show in all of television on Saturday nights among Men 18-49; Moonshiners as the #1 unscripted cable show on Tuesdays among Total Viewers P2+ and Men 25-54/18-49/18-34; and Alaska: The Last Frontier, which was the #1 unscripted show among Men 2+ on Sundays.
