NBC Dominates the Night, 'Voice' Delivers its Second-Most-Watched Tuesday Ever

In 18-49, 'Voice' Matches its Tuesday High Since Oct. 2013

'Chicago Fire' Equals its 18-49 High since Sept. 30, Hits its Top Total-Viewer Result Since Sept. 23

Tuesday Results:

NBC dominated Tuesday night in every key measure among the Big 4, with the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those nets in 18-49, "The Voice" and "Chicago Fire."

· "The Voice" (4.1/12 in 18-49, 15.4 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) grew +5% week to week in 18-49 (4.1 vs. 3.9) and +9% in total viewers (15.353 million vs. 14.061 million). In 18-49, "The Voice" earned its highest Tuesday rating since Sept. 30, 2014 (4.1) and matched its high since Oct. 1, 2013 (4.5).

· In total viewers, "The Voice" delivered its second-most-watched Tuesday telecast ever, best since the June 18, 2013 season finale (15.595 million).

· "The Voice" grew steadily through the two hours, with this 18-49 half-hour track: 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, 4.5. From its first-half-hour to its fourth, "The Voice" grew by 0.9 of a rating point or +25%.

· In the time period, "The Voice" dominated among the Big 4 networks in all key measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. "The Voice" grew versus this week's Monday results by +5% in both 18-49 (4.1 vs. 3.9) and total viewers (15.353 million vs. 14.674 million). "The Voice" matched its rating for the same night last year (4.1 vs. 4.1) and was up +6% in total viewers (15.353 million vs. 14.533 million).

· L+7 ESTIMATE: 5.0 in 18-49, 18.0 million viewers overall.

· "Chicago Fire" (2.2/7 in 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) jumped +57% versus its prior telecast in 18-49 (2.2 vs. 1.4 on Feb. 17) and +46% in total viewers (9.137 million vs. 6.257 million). Last night's "Chicago Fire" earned the show's highest rating since Nov. 11 (2.2) and equaled its high since Sept. 30 (2.3), during the season's second week. In the time period, "Chicago Fire" dominated the ABC-CBS-NBC competition in every key measure.

· In total viewers, "Chicago Fire" delivered its most-watched episode since the show's season premiere (9.157 million on Sept. 23).

· "Chicago Fire" will add substantial audience in L+7 results -- "Chicago Fire" first-runs have increased by +59% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.89 to a 3.01) and 3.5 million viewers overall (7.5 million to 11.0 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

· L+7 ESTIMATE: 3.3 in 18-49, 12.7 million viewers overall.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.2/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
