ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Attracts its Largest Audience Since Thanksgiving

ABC News' "Nightline" Ranks No. 1 in its Time Slot Across All Key Measures

ABC Late-Night (Monday - Friday)

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of March 9, 2015, ABC was up week to week by double digits in Total Viewers (+16% - 2.541 million vs. 2.192 million) and for the 2nd consecutive week in Adults 18-49 (+4% - 755,000 vs. 727,000) to post its best performance in late-night in 6 weeks (since w/o 1/26/15).

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F 11:35 p.m.)

During the week of March 9, 2015, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" grew over the prior week by 19% in Total Viewers (2.935 million vs. 2.461 million) to draw its biggest overall audience since Thanksgiving week and was up by 7% in Adults 18-49 (850,000 vs. 793,000) to hit a 6-week high - since weeks of 11/24/14 and 1/26/15, respectively.

· ABC's "Kimmel" was the week's No. 2 late-night talk show in both Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers, behind only NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," while ranking No. 1 among Adults 18-34 (303,000).

"Nightline" (M-F 12:35 a.m.)

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in its 12:35 a.m. time slot in all key target demos: Total Viewers (1.739 million), Adults 25-54 (753,000) and Adults 18-49 (562,000) during the week of March 9, 2015. The ABC News late-night program has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers for the last 5 weeks and in 19 of the past 21.

"Nightline" increased from its week-ago performance (1.641 million and 737,000, respectively, on w/o 3/2/15) in both Total Viewers (+6%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%). In fact, "Nightline" turned in its strongest news demo performance since November - since w/o 11/24/14.

"Nightline" posted across-the-board, year-to-year gains (1.644 million, 674,000, and 553,000, respectively, on w/o 3/10/14): Total Viewers (+6%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+2%).

For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline's" Thursday airing (3/12/15) was the week's No. 1 12:35 a.m. telecast in Total Viewers (2.166 million), Adults 25-54 (999,000) and Adults 18-49 (752,000), defeating every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Further, the Thursday telecast was the ABC program's strongest delivery in the key adult news demo in nearly 1 year - since 4/17/14.

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in all key target demos: Total Viewers (1.739 million), Adults 25-54 (753,000) and Adults 18-49 (562,000) during the week of March 9, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. The ABC News late night program has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers for the last 5 weeks and in 19 of the past 21.

John Mayer was the guest host for CBS' "The Late Late Show" on Monday, Kunal Nayyar on Tuesday, Sean Hayes on Wednesday, Whitney Cummings on Thursday and Adam Pally on Friday.
