Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "Bruce Jenner - The Interview" Posts Big Numbers for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/24/15):

ABC (13.838 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1) was the top draw on Friday thanks to a new "Shark Tank" (7.788 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) and the two-hour special "20/20: Bruce Jenner - The Interview" (16.863 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.2, #1).

CBS (7.984 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then was a distant second with its trio of "The Amazing Race" (5.921 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.280 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (9.752 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5).

Next up was NBC (4.453 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) with originals from "Grimm" (4.697 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5) and "Dateline NBC" (4.331 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.015 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) offered up the feature "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" (3.015 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7).

And finally, new episodes of "Cedric's Barber Battle" (1.357 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.249 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and "The Messengers" (1.198 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) on The CW (1.250 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.2, 0.2 and 0.2 rating, respectively.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/6 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 2.1/6 in metered-market households and a 0.9/5 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/25/14):

ABC (5.997 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was once again the demo champ on Friday thanks to the season finale of "Last Man Standing" (5.853 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3), a repeat "Last Man Standing" (4.787 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), a new "Shark Tank" (6.864 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and a new "20/20" (5.808 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).

CBS (9.185 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then claimed the silver with originals from "Unforgettable" (7.572 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.172 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (10.812 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3).

Next up was NBC (4.686 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and its mix of "Dateline NBC" (6.006 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Grimm" (5.226 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3) and "Hannibal" (2.825 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.986 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) offered up fresh installments of "Kitchen Nightmares" (2.821 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and a second "Kitchen Nightmares" (3.151 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

And finally, a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.693 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T13), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.535 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T13) and a new "Hart of Dixie" (0.925 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) on The CW (1.269 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.
