Only 11:35 PM Late Night Show to Post Year-to-Year Growth in Viewers and Demos

"The Late Late Show with James Corden" Posts Year-to-Year Increases in Viewers and Key Demos; Ties "Late Night" in Adults 18-34

CBS's new late night franchises - THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN - both delivered impressive year-to-year growth in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 12.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT averaged 0.6/04 in adults 18-34 (up +200%, from 0.2/01), 0.7/04 in adults 18-49 (up +40%, from 0.5/02), 0.9/04 in adults 25-54 (up +29%, from 0.7/03) and 3.12 million viewers (up +17%, from 2.68m).

THE LATE SHOW tied "Tonight" in adults 18-34 (0.6/04 vs. 0.6/03) and was the only 11:35 PM late night show to post year-to-year gains in viewers and key demos.

For the first two weeks of the 2015-2016 television season, THE LATE SHOW is up +100% in adults 18-34 (0.6/04 from 0.3/01), +60% in adults 18-49 (0.8/04 from 0.5/02), +29% in adults 25-54 (0.9/04 from 0.7/03) and +18% in viewers (3.17m from 2.70m) compared to last season. THE LATE SHOW is tied with "The Tonight Show" in adults 18-34.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN averaged 0.3/02 in adults 18-34 (up +50%, from 0.2/01), 0.4/03 in adults 18-49 (up +33%, from 0.3/02), 0.5/03 in adults 25-54 (up +25%, from 0.4/02) and 1.44m viewers (up +10%, from 1.31m) compared to the same week last season. THE LATE LATE SHOW tied "Late Night" in adults 18-34.

For the first two weeks of the 2015-2016 television season, THE LATE LATE SHOW is up +50% in adults 18-34 (0.3/02 from 0.2/01), +33% in adults 18-49 (0.4/03 from 0.3/02), +25% in adults 25-54 (0.5/03 from 0.4/03) and +2% in viewers (1.40m from 1.37m) compared to last season.
