ABC Claims Friday's Top Series, "Dr. Ken" Dominates NBC's "Truth Be Told" Debut and "20/20" is Up at 10pm

ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm - 5.7 million and 1.3/5 in AD18-49): Up against Game 1 of the ALCS (Kansas City-Toronto) on Fox, ABC was the non-sports leader on Friday in Adults 18-49, 18% ahead of CBS (1.3/5 vs. 1.1/4) and 44% ahead of NBC with the series debut of Truth Be Told (0.9/3). Despite the increased competition from post-season MLB on Fox, ABC was up week to week in Total Viewers (+4%) and steady with young adults.
· ABC's Shark Tank (4th straight week at the top), Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken tied as Friday's #1 series in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5), as LMS and Dr. Ken (with 100% lead-in retention at 8:30pm) marked their 2nd straight week as the night's top scripted programs. At 8:30pm, ABC's Dr. Ken more than doubled the debut of NBC's Truth Be Told in Total Viewers (+123% - 5.8 million vs. 2.6 million) and dominated it by 86% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5 vs. 0.7/3). The new ABC comedy was steady week to week and continued to improve its time period year to year (+8%).
· The #1 non-sports show at 10pm, ABC's 20/20 was Friday's #1 newsmagazine in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5), by 33% over NBC's 2-hour Dateline (0.9/3 from 9-11pm). The ABC newsmag also led its NBC competition in Total Viewers (+18% - 5.2 million vs. 4.4 million) and Adults 25-54 (+29% - 1.8/5 vs. 1.4/4). 20/20 rose by double digits week to week in Total Viewers (+16% - 5.2 million vs. 4.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+20% - 1.2/5 vs. 1.0/4) and Adults 25-54 (+29% - 1.8/5 vs. 1.4/4), equaling a season high in the key news demo.
