Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Rides NFL Overrun to Victory

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/10/16):

FOX (16.558 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.8, #1) claimed top honors on Sunday thanks to a big boost from "NFL Overrun" (33.047 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 10.7, #1) followed by new episodes of "The Simpsons" (19.000 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 6.7, #2), "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life" (6.443 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.8, #4), "Family Guy" (4.299 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.0, #6) and "Bordertown" (3.510 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7).

NBC (13.940 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.1, #2) then had to settle for second place with its "Golden Globes Red Carpet" (9.384 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" (15.459 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.7, #3).

Next up was CBS (7.517 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and originals from "60 Minutes" (7.214 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11), "Madam Secretary" (8.920 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8), "The Good Wife" (7.581 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8) and "CSI: Cyber" (6.356 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8).

And finally, new episodes of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.357 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11), "Galavant" (2.592 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13), another "Galavant" (2.234 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13) and repeats of "Quantico" (1.544 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T15) and "Quantico" (1.703 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T15) on ABC (2.504 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) closed out the night.
