"Nightline" Grows Week-to-Week in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

"Nightline" Outperforms CBS in All Three Key Demos: Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

Season to Date "Nightline" Leads CBS Across the Board

ABC News' "Nightline" averaged 1.490 million Total Viewers, 576,000 Adults 25-54 and 465,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of January 11, 2016, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.187 million, 477,000 and 373,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+303,000), Adults 25-54 (+99,000) and Adults 18-49 (+92,000).

"Nightline" improved week to week (559,000 and 412,000, respectively, on w/o 1/4/16) in Adults 25-54 (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%).

Season to date, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" across the board: Total Viewers (+339,000), Adults 25-54 (+118,000) and Adults 18-49 (+62,000).

Note: Due to the State of the Union on Tuesday (1/12/16), CBS' "The Late Late Show" was retitled to "The Late Late Show-JC" and the telecast was excluded from the weekly averages. CBS' averages are based on 4 days (Mon, Wed-Fri).

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is senior broadcast producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:05 a.m. EST on the ABC Television Network. Together with "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Nightline" is part of ABC's winning late-night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
