HGTV SCORES ITS HIGHEST-RATED MONTH EVER IN PRIME
Ratings Among P25-54 Up 14% Over January 2015
NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - February 2, 2016] January 2016 now ranks as the highest-rated month in HGTV history among primetime and weekend viewers P25-54. HGTV scored a .65 P25-54 rating in primetime (Monday-Sunday 8P-12A) - growing 14% over January 2015 - and delivered a .60 P25-54 rating on weekends (Saturday-Sunday 7A-8P), growing 13% over January 2015. The network also dominated cable networks on weekends, nabbing the #1 spot among W25-54.
In January, series such as Fixer Upper, featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines; Flip or Flop with Tarek and Christina El Moussa, and Ellen's Design Challenge, the furniture design competition that was conceptualized by Ellen DeGeneres, drove the network to record viewing levels. Other top performing series for the month included Property Brothers starring Jonathan and Drew Scott, Beachfront Bargain Hunt and Island Life.
