DESCRIPTION:
(from HGTV's press release, March 2014) HGTV will premiere a second 13-episode arc of the hugely popular Flip or Flop on Tuesday, April 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series, which follows young flippers Tarek and Christina El Moussa as they turn houses for a profit, attracted more than 9 million viewers P25-54 and delivered double-digit ratings growth in its time slot during its 2013 freshman run. In the second season, there will be many more nail-biting purchases at auction and challenging renovations for HGTV's newest breakout stars. The new season kicks-off as Tarek and Christina purchase their first foreclosed home in Los Angeles. As interest in flipping foreclosed homes increases, the couple must cast a wider net to stay competitive. During the premiere episode, Tarek and Christina bid for a home they've carefully researched. They win the bid but, to their surprise, their quick flip turns into a major overhaul. With the original flooring, bathrooms and kitchen gutted and dismantled, they must redo the entire house and in the process learn that, when it comes to flipping houses, the old adage, "you have to spend money to make money" is very true.
