Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: World Series Treats FOX to Halloween Victory

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/31/17):

FOX (18.916 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.1, #1) claimed the top spot on Halloween with its coverage of the "World Series, Game 6" (18.916 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.1, #1).

NBC (6.033 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a distant second with its "The Voice" (6.182 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5) recap and originals from "This Is Us" (8.318 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" (3.598 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

Next up was CBS (10.125 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its trio of "NCIS" (11.911 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3), "Bull" (9.620 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.843 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.311 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up new episodes from "The Middle" (5.002 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.542 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), "Black-ish" (3.587 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), "The Mayor" (2.373 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (2.681 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (1.987 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (1.427 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) closed out the evening on The CW (1.707 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (7.234 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then had to settle for a distant second place with a "The Voice" (6.769 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4) recap followed by new episodes of "This Is Us" (8.386 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) and "Chicago Fire" (6.549 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).
