Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Edges Tight Race Among Adults 18-49

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/10/18):

FOX (4.690 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) edged out the demo pack with week two of "The X-Files" (3.893 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and "9-1-1" (5.487 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2).

NBC (6.342 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) then was the most-watched broadcaster with originals from "The Blacklist" (6.118 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.066 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and "Chicago PD" (6.844 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5).

Next up was ABC (4.565 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and its lineup of "The Goldbergs" (6.005 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2), "Speechless" (4.442 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8), "Modern Family" (5.792 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1), "American Housewife" (4.562 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7) and "Match Game" (3.294 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13).

Meanwhile, CBS (6.245 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up fresh installments of "The Amazing Race 30" (6.939 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4), "SEAL Team" (6.143 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12) and "Criminal Minds" (5.653 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

And finally, The CW (1.040 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) rounded out the night with its specials "The 3rd Annual Howie Mandel Stand-Up Gala" (1.178 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) and "Animal Crackers" (0.627 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Next up was NBC (5.914 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) and its trio of "Blindspot" (5.091 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #12), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.100 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and "Chicago PD" (6.552 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5).
