Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Takes Home Top Spots with Dramas

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/3/19):

CBS (6.688 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the network to beat on Friday thanks to its trio of "MacGyver" (5.327 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (6.644 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (8.093 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1).

Second place then went to NBC (3.927 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) and its lineup of "The Blacklist" (4.247 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (3.767 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Next up was ABC (3.351 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) and its special "ScreenTime: Diane Sawyer Reporting" (3.533 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) followed by "20/20" (2.987 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.660 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up originals from "Last Man Standing" (4.192 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2), "The Cool Kids" (3.107 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "Proven Innocent" (1.670 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10).

And finally, a new "Dynasty" (0.448 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.565 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.511 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) rounded out the evening on The CW (0.493 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (6.937 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) was the most-watched broadcaster on Friday with the season finale of "MacGyver" (6.097 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) followed by originals from "Hawaii Five-0" (6.983 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) and "Blue Bloods" (7.732 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

NBC (3.670 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) then was the silver draw with fresh installments from "Blindspot" (2.636 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #7) and "Dateline NBC" (4.187 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

Next up was FOX (2.797 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) with a new "MasterChef Junior" (2.621 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and a second "MasterChef Junior" (2.974 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

Meanwhile, ABC (1.923 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up its trio of "Once Upon a Time" (2.030 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (1.623 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8) and "20/20" (2.116 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8).
