What Pairs Well with a Little FRIENDS? Some LOVE LIFE!

Friends Is the #1 Show on the Platform, Followed Closely by the Anna Kendrick Starring Max Original Love Life as the #2 Performer

Other Top Performers Include The Big Bang Theory, Doom Patrol, Looney Tunes Cartoons, The Not Too Late Show with Elmo, Legendary, Search Party, Perry Mason, Insecure, Expecting Amy, Scoob!, South Park and I May Destroy You

HBO Max Users Are 70% More Engaged than Those for HBO Now

Los Angeles - July 27, 2020 - What pairs well with FRIENDS? Some LOVE LIFE, it seems, with a dash of THE BIG BANG THEORY thrown in.

FRIENDS and THE BIG BANG THEORY are performing beyond expectations and driving high levels of engagement on HBO Max; and subscribers are loving new Max Originals, like LOVE LIFE, which is the #2 series on the platform since launch, right behind FRIENDS which is the #1 performing show. THE BIG BANG THEORY clocks in as the third most popular viewing choice.

In fact, eight HBO Max Originals are in the top 25 series since launch: LOVE LIFE, DOOM PATROL, LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS, THE NOT-TOO-LATE SHOW, LEGENDARY, SEARCH PARTY, CLOSE ENOUGH and EXPECTING AMY, demonstrating the appeal of these titles.

Of course, high-quality original HBO content including INSECURE, PERRY MASON, I'LL BE GONE IN THE DARK, and I MAY DESTROY YOU, among others, are appointment viewing on HBO Max as well.

The platform is seeing tremendous engagement among users, with 70% more time spent on HBO Max verses HBO Now (based on Jan. 2020 HBO Now viewership). Reinforcing the brand promise "Where HBO Meets So Much More," there is also a wide range of content being viewed across HBO Max's broad selection of award-winning, culture-defining and popular programming; the top 25 most viewed shows include Max Originals, acquired series, classic and current HBO series, all types of movies, as well as kids and family content.

HBO Max users are also significantly younger than subscribers of traditional HBO, with 23% falling between the ages of 18-24.

Upcoming programming highlights coming to HBO Max include HBO'S LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, THE UNDOING, THE THIRD DAY, WE ARE WHO WE ARE, INDUSTRY, and new seasons of ROOM 104 and HIS DARK MATERIALS; as well as upcoming Max Originals, including the feature premieres of AN AMERICAN PICKLE, LET THEM ALL TALK and UNPREGNANT; a new season of SESAME STREET; RAISED BY WOLVES, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT; international hits GOMORRAH, THE MURDERS AT WHITE HOUSE FARM, and BOYS; and the SELENA GOMEZ COOKING SHOW and FRIENDS REUNION SPECIAL (working titles).
