Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers; Shares Demo Crown with ABC

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/16/20):

CBS (4.028 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T1) was the top draw on Sunday thanks to its lineup of "60 Minutes" (6.913 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2), "Big Brother 22" (4.041 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.491 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (2.669 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

ABC (3.480 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T1) however shared in the demo honors despite an all-repeat lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.477 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2), "Celebrity Family Feud" (3.900 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4), "Press Your Luck" (2.823 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5) and "Match Game" (2.722 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5).

Next up was NBC (1.519 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) with "Cannonball" (1.932 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5) and its telecast of the "2020 NHL Playoff Round #1 - Philadelphia vs. Montreal" (1.382 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (0.751 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #4) served up repeats of "Last Man Standing" (0.852 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), "Duncanville" (0.483 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T16), "The Simpsons" (0.815 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), "Bless the Harts" (0.619 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), "Bob's Burgers" (0.793 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Family Guy" (0.941 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, a new "Fridge Wars" (0.381 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T16) and a repeat "Supernatural" (0.199 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.0, #18) on The CW (0.290 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night.

FOX (3.752 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) pulled into the top spot on Sunday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (2.302 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8), another "Last Man Standing" (2.764 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) and primetime coverage of "NFL Preseason: Seattle at Minnesota" (4.361 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2).

CBS (4.666 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was the silver draw with its combination of "60 Minutes" (6.962 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3), "Big Brother 21" (5.039 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1), "Instinct" (3.591 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and another "Instinct" (3.070 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13).

Next up was ABC (4.271 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and a repeat "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.398 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) followed by originals from "Celebrity Family Feud" (4.955 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4), "The $100,000 Pyramid" (4.354 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) and "To Tell the Truth" (3.378 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.280 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up second runs of "America's Got Talent" (2.500 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11), another "America's Got Talent" (2.609 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) and "Bring the Funny" (1.510 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13).

And finally, The CW (0.772 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with repeats of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.827 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T15), "Masters of Illusion" (0.738 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T15) and another "Masters of Illusion" (0.695 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T15).
