Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Stays on Top with "America's Got Talent"

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/18/20):

NBC (4.435 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) cruised to another victory on Tuesday with a new "America's Got Talent" (5.507 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) and its "NBC News Special: 2020 Democratic Convention" (2.290 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2).

The silver went to CBS (3.342 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2) with its mix of "NCIS" (4.546 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2), "FBI" (3.470 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2) and "CBS News: 2020 America Decides: Democratic Convention" (2.011 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10).

Next up was ABC (1.818 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2) with repeats of "Modern Family" (2.071 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2), another "Modern Family" (1.588 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2), a new "What Would You Do?" (1.802 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2) and "The Democratic National Convention - Your Voice/Your Vote 2020 " (1.822 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.046 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #4) served up repeats of "Hell's Kitchen" (1.401 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T2) and "Prodigal Son" (0.692 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10).

And finally, The CW (0.373 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with the premiere of "Dead Pixels" (0.506 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T12), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.367 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T12) and "Tell Me a Story" (0.309 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T12).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.414 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) served up a repeat "The Resident" (1.350 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8) and a new "First Responders Live" (1.478 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

And finally, fresh installments of "Pandora" (0.679 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #11) and "Mysteries Decoded" (0.597 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #12) on The CW (0.638 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.3/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.8/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 with an encore in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
