Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBA Finals Put ABC on Top

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/2/20):

ABC (4.132 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with its mix of "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (4.057 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2), "NBA Countdown" (2.900 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and "NBA Finals, Game 2" (4.459 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1).

FOX (2.042 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #2) had to settle for second with "WWE SmackDown" (2.042 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Next up was CBS (3.186 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) with a new "The Greatest #AtHome Videos" (3.509 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) followed by the season premiere of "Undercover Boss" (3.005 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (3.046 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.142 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) aired an encore of "American Ninja Warrior" (1.963 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8) plus "Dateline NBC" (2.500 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #7).

And finally, The CW (0.594 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with "Masters of Illusion" (0.548 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10), a repeat "Masters of Illusion" (0.522 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10), "World's Funniest Animals" (0.689 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10) and a repeat "World's Funniest Animals" (0.619 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10).

CBS (6.601 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) however remained the most-watched network with its trio of "Hawaii Five-0" (6.393 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2), "Magnum P.I." (6.024 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (7.387 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3).

Next up was NBC (3.518 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) with the season premiere of "The Blacklist" (3.965 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (3.295 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.944 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up originals from "American Housewife" (3.296 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5), "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.366 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9) and "20/20" (3.001 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).

And finally, repeats of "Masters of Illusion" (0.733 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #10) and "The Big Stage" (0.558 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11), a new "Red Bull Peaking" (0.415 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and the season finale of "Red Bull Peaking" (0.334 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (0.510 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).
