**Ratings Report for ABC News' "Nightline" For the week of May 30, 2022

ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' IS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54, AND ADULTS 18-49 FOR THE 2ND CONSECUTIVE WEEK

'Nightline' Hits Season Highs in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 With Its Strongest Adults 25-54 Performance in 1 Year

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (874,000), Adults 25-54 (264,000) and Adults 18-49 (193,000) for the 2nd consecutive week during the week of May 30, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

"Nightline" turned in year-to-year gains in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+5% - 874,000 vs. 834,000), Adults 25-54 (+9% - 264,000 vs. 242,000) and Adults 18-49 (+2% - 193,000 vs. 189,000).

For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" improved on the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+9% - 264,000 vs. 242,000) and Adults 18-49 (+5% - 193,000 vs. 183,000), hitting season highs in both demos. In fact, "Nightline" saw its strongest Adults 25-54 performance in 1 year - since w/o 5/24/21.

On Thursday (6/2/22), "Nightline" delivered its top telecast in Total Viewers (1.178 million) in nearly 1 ½ years, in Adults 18-49 (355,000) in 20 months and in Adults 25-54 (433,000) in nearly 2 years - since 1/6/21, 9/30/20 and 7/7/20, respectively.

Season to date, "Nightline" is beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 for the 7th consecutive year - since the 2015-2016 season.

Last week, "Nightline" covered Lia Thomas, the elite UPenn swimmer at the center of a heated debate over trans women in sports, who sat down with "Nightline" co-anchor Juju Chang in an ABC News and ESPN exclusive interview (Part 1, Part 2); the verdict of the six-week-long Depp vs. Heard defamation case; the grief and frustration in the wake of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas; the Platinum Jubilee; First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who sat down with ABC's "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts in an ABC News exclusive interview; and Zachary Noah Piser, who is making history on Broadway as the first Asian American performer to lead the Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hansen."

NOTE: On Monday (5/30/22), "Nightline" and CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" were coded as specials. From Tuesday (5/31) through Friday (6/3), CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" retitled to "Late Late Show-JC - ENC." For the week, NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." The special telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC's and CBS' averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).
