ABC News' "Nightline" Ranks No. 1 In Total Viewers
Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS

'Nightline' Leads CBS' 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

'Nightline' Is Up in Total Viewers Both Week to Week and Year to Year

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (769,000) during the week of Oct. 17, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" also led CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

"Nightline" was up in Total Viewers both week to week (+1% - 769,000 vs. 764,000) and year to year (+5% - 769,000 vs. 733,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+9% - 887,000 vs. 812,000), Adults 25-54 (+10% - 237,000 vs. 216,000) and Adults 18-49 (+16% - 170,000 vs. 147,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

This week "Nightline" covered a Navy fuel leak in Hawaii that may have caused families to get sick; "Mad Honey," a new best-selling novel; actor Danny Masterson's trial; Chelsea Manning's new memoir; the spooky history of "The Watcher" town; Kevin Smith's health and his thoughts on aging; twins who escaped a real-life house of horrors; "Impact x Nightline"'s reporting of children working at Rainforest Alliance certified farms in Mexico, picking coffee that will be marked as ethically produced; Dwayne Johnson's new film "Black Adam"; Taylor Swift's tenth studio album, "Midnights"; "20/20"'s latest episode "Dial M for Missing."

NOTE: For the week, CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC-ENC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
