ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (+853,000), Adults 25-54 (+248,000) and Adults 18-49 (+189,000) for the 2nd straight week during the week of Dec. 19, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

"Nightline" improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+1% - 853,000 vs. 843,000), Adults 25-54 (+16% - 248,000 vs. 214,000) and Adults 18-49 (+19% - 189,000 vs. 159,000), hitting 12-week highs in both key Adult demos ― since w/o 9/26/22.

For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" posted gains year to year in Total Viewers (+7% - 853,000 vs. 800,000), Adults 25-54 (+17% - 248,000 vs. 212,000) and Adults 18-49 (+7% - 189,000 vs. 177,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+8% - 902,000 vs. 835,000), Adults 25-54 (+1% - 225,000 vs. 223,000 and Adults 18-49 (+3% - 160,000 vs. 156,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key target demos.

This week Nightline covered Juju Chang's interview with "Welcome to Chippendales" star Kumail Nanjiani; a mother's fight for answers about her son, who was found dead after leaving a queer nightlife venue in NYC; Harvey Weinstein's conviction; the growing number of LGBTQ-led holiday rom-coms; Michael Strahan's interview with Stanley Tucci; the alarming reports of rape and torture in Ukraine by Russian soldiers; the historic visit from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy; Robin Roberts' interview with the cast of Broadway's "The Piano Lesson"; and a cross-country storm bringing heavy snow and damaging winds.

ABC News' "Nightline" drew 902,000 Total Viewers, 225,000 Adults 25-54 and 160,000 Adults 18-49 during the 4th Quarter 2022, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" led CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key target demos.

"Nightline" grew from the previous quarter in Total Viewers (+14% - 902,000 vs. 794,000) and Adults 25-54 (+11% - 225,000 vs. 203,000).

"Nightline" improved on the year-ago quarter in Total Viewers (+8% - 902,000 vs. 835,000), Adults 25-54 (+1% - 225,000 vs. 223,000 and Adults 18-49 (+3% - 160,000 vs. 156,000).
