Top 10 Week of July 24: 'The Witcher' Season 3 Returns With a Vengeance, German Sci-Fi Thriller 'Paradise' Starts Strong
The Witcher Season 3 hunted its way to the top of the English TV List following the release of Volume 2 with 7.8M views for the week. To date, Season 3 has amassed 47.7M views since premiering on June 29. The women of Sweet Magnolias have another reason to raise their margarita glasses as Season 3 took the #2 spot with 5.3M views. More fan-favorites made return appearances, with Season 5 of Too Hot to Handle coming in at #3 (3.2M views), Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer at #4 (3M views) and Survival of the Thickest at #5 (2.2M views). Quarterback returned for a three-peat taking the #7 spot, followed by Fatal Seduction at #8 and Mark Norman: Soup to Nuts at #9.
The German dystopian sci-fi thriller Paradise debuted atop the Non-English Films List with 8.1M views, edging out previous chart-topper Bird Box Barcelona, which came in at #2 with 6M views. Korean sports comedy Dream scored third place with 4.8M views. Mexico took the #4 and #5 spots with The (Almost) Legends (2.9M views) and the critically acclaimed true crime doc The Lady of Silence: The Mataviejitas Murders (2.1M views), respectively. Turkish romantic comedy Love Tactics 2 came in at #6 with 1.8M views and the French drama Gold Brick landed at #10 with 1.1M views.
The French action-thriller AKA has climbed to #4 on the Most Popular Non-English Films List with 60.9M views to date.
On the English Films List, Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie made its Top 10 debut at #2 with 12.2M views, while the critically acclaimed, mind-bending sci-fi comedy They Cloned Tyrone continued to multiply viewers, coming in at #3 with 11.1M views. Other new entrants included the rom-com Happiness for Beginners starring Ellie Kemper (9.3M views), the true crime doc Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case (7.6M views) and the space documentary Unknown: Cosmic Time Machine (5.2M views), which took the #4, #5 and #7 spots respectively. Meanwhile, returning favorites The Out-Laws (5.5M views), The Deepest Breath (3.5M views) and Extraction 2 (2.9M views) took #6, #9 and #10, respectively.
Fans pushed the Season 4 debut of the Brazilian YA drama Sintonia to the top of the Non-English TV List with 6.4M views. Other new entrants on the list included Season 2 of Japanese series Baki Hanma, (6M views), Spanish romantic-comedy A Perfect Story (3.2M views), Season 2 of Korean drama D.P. (2.8M views) and suspenseful Turkish drama The Tailor (2.5M views). The Korean romantic-comedy King the Land (4M views), Japanese anime My Happy Marriage (2.7M views) and Japanese drama Burn the House Down (2M views) all returned to the list.
