ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS

'Nightline' Is Up Week to Week and Hits 4-Week High in Total Viewers

'Nightline' Grows Year to Year in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Is #1 Across the Board and Delivers Strongest Overall Audience in 4 Years

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (914,000) for the week of Oct. 30, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" took the top spot, beating CBS' "Comics Unleashed" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

"Nightline" was up week to week in Total Viewers (+1% - 914,000 vs. 904,000) and hit a 4-week high - since w/o 10/2/23.

For the 5th week running, "Nightline" improved year to year in Total Viewers (+8% - 914,000 vs. 847,000) and Adults 25-54 (+1% - 201,000 vs. 199,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, versus CBS' "Comics Unleashed" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers." In addition, "Nightline" is growing versus the comparable weeks last season in Total Viewers (+9% - 979,000 vs. 895,000) and Adults 25-54 (+7% - 250,000 vs. 233,000), posting its largest overall audience in 4 years - since the 2019-2020 season.

This week "Nightline" covered the rising tensions on college campuses as Israel's war with Hamas intensifies; Americans evacuated out of Gaza; the sudden death of Matthew Perry; the true story behind the box office hit "Oppenheimer"; Kaitlin Armstrong's ex-boyfriend taking the stand in murder case; Darius Rucker's philanthropy, family and new music; country band King Calaway's rise to stardom; Missy Elliot reflecting on her career ahead of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honor; "Impact x Nightline"'s latest episode on the bombshells in Britney Spears' memoir and more.

NOTE: On Friday (11/3/23), NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Late Night with Seth Meyers-SM" due to being a repeat. The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
