DESCRIPTION:
(from Disney+'s press release, March 2024) While Napoleon Bonaparte is exiled to Elba, kings and crown princes, ministers and spies, noble ladies and mistresses, soldiers of fortune, inventors, artists and concubines celebrate and negotiate in Vienna. Here, the fate of Europe is decided on the dance floor and in the boudoir. Delegations from England, Russia, Austria, France and Prussia played a leading role in shaping the congress - with powerful women who used their influence to steer the peace talks in the right direction. It is a game of luck, money, love and power - the Congress of Vienna behind the scenes! |
