NEW YORK - September 10, 2012 - Viewers nationwide can now sample the first 20 minutes of the highly-anticipated season two premiere of the Golden Globe(R)-winning and Emmy(R) Award nominated hit series HOMELAND. HOMELAND was nominated for nine Emmy Awards, the most nominations of any freshman series this year, and the most nominations ever for a SHOWTIME series. The series stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Damian Lewis, Emmy and Tony(R) Award winner Mandy Patinkin, Morena Baccarin, Diego Klattenhoff, Jackson Pace, Morgan Saylor, Jamey Sheridan, David Marciano and Navid Negahban. Developed for American television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and based on the original Israeli series "Prisoners of War" by Gideon Raff, the one-hour drama series tells the story of Carrie Mathison (Danes), a CIA officer battling her own demons, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of U.S. soldier Nicholas Brody (Lewis) was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. Along with Gansa and Gordon, the executive producers for season two are Gideon Raff, Michael Cuesta, Alex Cary, Chip Johannessen, Henry Bromell, Meredith Stiehm, Avi Nir and Ran Telem.
