The Second Season of 'Criminal Code' Premieres June 4 On Netflix, Returning With An Exhilarating Behind-The-Scenes Video
São Paulo, April 24, 2025 - Get ready for a whole lot more gunshots, brawls, and bombs! The second season of Criminal Code, a Brazilian action drama inspired by true crimes, premieres June 4. To give you a sneak peek of what's to come, Netflix has released the season's official poster and a video revealing behind-the-scenes details from the production.
Suellen (Maeve Jinkings), Benício (Rômulo Braga), Sem Alma (Thomás Aquino), Isaac (Alex Nader), and other characters return to the show for even more intense, adrenaline-fueled action scenes. "I love doing action series. Criminal Code is an emotional adventure, but a physical one as well," says Maeve Jinkings. "The new episodes have way more layers. Every scene comes with its own unique challenge," adds Rômulo Braga.
After helping the Ambassador escape from prison, Isaac and his Ghost Gang become the Federal Police's main targets. Increasingly sophisticated robberies turn them into crime legends - and going after them will require everything the agents have got. During the challenging investigation, Suellen will have to prove himself as a leader. Meanwhile, Benício experiences a crisis after losing yet another friend and discovering that Soulless escaped from prison.
Produced by Paranoïd, the second season of Criminal Code was created by Heitor Dhalia, who is also its overall director, with episodes directed by Pedro Morelli and Felipe Vellas. The show is produced by Manoel Rangel and Egisto Betti. The main cast includes Rômulo Braga, Maeve Jinkings, Pedro Caetano, Thomas Aquino, Alex Nader, Daniel Blanco, Letícia Tomazella, and Jorge Paz.
