The Count of Monte Cristo
Golden Globe nominee Sam Claflin stars in a gripping new TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of betrayal, transformation and retribution. The Count of Monte Cristo, one of the greatest revenge stories ever told, also stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) and Ana Girardot (The Returned).
When Edmond Dantès is arrested under false accusations of treason, his world collapses. After enduring over a decade of wrongful imprisonment, he escapes with a new identity, riches, and a mission for vengeance.
As the mysterious "Count of Monte Cristo," Edmond infiltrates Paris high society to dismantle the lives of the men who framed him. But he must also face a haunting question: Can justice truly be found in revenge?
