Prime Video today unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated romantic comedy No Place to Be Single, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by record-breaking author Felicia Kingsley. The new Prime Original film stars Matilde Gioli and Cristiano Caccamo, with Amanda Campana, Sebastiano Pigazzi, Cecilia Dazzi, Margherita Rebeggiani, with Marco Cocci and featuring Bebo Storti. No Place to Be Single is directed by Laura Chiossone and written by Alessandra Martellini, Giulia Magda Martinez and Matteo Visconti. Co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Italian International Film - Lucisano Media Group, produced by Fulvio, Federica and Paola Lucisano, No Place to Be Single will be available worldwide exclusively on Prime Video starting May 8.
With the trailer unveiled today, audiences can begin to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the idyllic Belvedere in Chianti, a Tuscan town where everyone is either coupled up or searching for their soulmate - everyone except Elisa (Matilde Gioli), a single mother raising her teenage daughter (Margherita Rebeggiani) and running the Le Giuggiole estate with her sister Giada (Amanda Campana) and mother Mariana (Cecilia Dazzi). The return of Michele (Cristiano Caccamo), a childhood friend she lost touch with years ago, turns her life upside down and awakens new and unexpected feelings. But Michele, a successful financial consultant with a life built on professional and romantic conquests, hasn't returned by chance: when his uncle, the owner of Le Giuggiole, passes away suddenly leaving the estate to him and his brother Carlo (Sebastiano Pigazzi), he sees the perfect opportunity to sell and secure a long-awaited promotion. Elisa, on the other hand, dreams of transforming the estate into the farm she has always envisioned, but Michele could put everything at risk.
Italy's most-read author for three consecutive years, with over 4 million copies sold and 23 books published, translated into 20 countries: Italian author Felicia Kingsley is a true publishing phenomenon. Author of the Year at the 2024 TikTok Book Awards and winner of the Hemingway Lignano Award for the Future 2025, Kingsley has captivated millions of readers with the brilliant and witty style of her contemporary fairy tales. Following her 2017 debut with Matrimonio di convenienza, numerous bestsellers followed, including Due cuori in affitto and Una ragazza d'altri tempi, which established her as one of the most beloved voices in contemporary Italian romance. Adding to this long series of novels is her most recent work, Mezzanotte a Parigi. No Place to Be Single, now published in English by Amazon Crossing, an imprint of Amazon Publishing, is the first of her novels to be adapted for the screen.
In recent weeks, it was also announced that Matilde Gioli and Cristiano Caccamo, alongside director Laura Chiossone and author Felicia Kingsley, will star in two special events at Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino (May 14-18, 2026) to celebrate No Place to Be Single. On Friday, May 15, they will meet audiences at this prestigious event dedicated to publishing and culture, one of Italy's most significant cultural gatherings. The event will be a special opportunity to engage with Erin Doom, curator of the Romance Pop-Up section at Salone del Libro, and with readers and viewers, sharing the journey that brought one of the most beloved stories in contemporary fiction from page to screen. On Saturday, May 16, the Romance Pop-Up attendees at Salone will have the chance to join a special screening of the film on the big screen, introduced by the cast, director and author.
