NBC Promises New Episodes All Next Week
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has once again revised its schedule for next week, adding another new episode of "Miss Match" and dropping its planned repeats on Wednesday night.

The news comes on the heels of the confusing last-minute changes to its schedule in the past two days. The Peacock scrapped new episodes of "The West Wing" and "Law & Order" this past Wednesday in favor of repeats of the latter and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." And last night, new episodes of "Friends," "Scrubs," "Will & Grace" and "ER" were scuttled for repeats of each. (NBC even went so far as to change its Thursday repeat schedule again to sub a second repeat of "Will & Grace" in for the "Scrubs" encore.)

The changes were confirmed by NBC as being the result of baseball's NLCS and ALCS both going to Game 7. Nevertheless with the World Series set to kick off on Saturday, the network is now saying it will run new episodes all next week.

Here's a list of the schedule changes:

Wednesday, October 22:
8:00/7:00c - "Ed: Death, Debt, & Dating" (New)
9:00/8:00c - "The West Wing: Han" (New)*
10:00/9:00c - "Law & Order: Shrunk" (New)*

Thursday, October 23:
8:00/7:00c - "Friends: The One With The Cake" (New)**
8:30/7:30c - "Scrubs: My White Whale" (New)**
9:00/8:00c - "Will & Grace: Me and Mr. Jones" (New)**
9:30/8:30c - "Coupling: Check/Mate" (New)
10:00/9:00c - "ER: Shifts Happen" (New)**

Friday, October 24:
8:00/7:00c - "Miss Match: The Price of Love" (New, Special Time)
9:00/8:00c - "Miss Match: I Got You Babe" (New)
