DR. Phil Signs on for Five More Years

DR. PHIL SIGNS ON FOR FIVE MORE YEARS

EXTENDS CONTRACT FOR HIT SERIES THROUGH 2013-2014 SEASON

KING WORLD RENEWS SERIES THROUGH 2010-2011 ON 15 VIACOM TELEVISION STATIONS

August 3, 2005, Santa Monica, CA - Dr. Phillip C. McGraw, host of the critically acclaimed daily, syndicated, hour-long series, Dr. Phil, and Roger King, CEO of King World Productions and CBS Enterprises, today announced that King World has retained the distribution rights to Dr. Phil for an additional five years, taking the series through the 2013-2014 television seasons.

In addition, King World announced it has renewed the series on 15 Viacom television stations through the 2010-2011 season. The stations include WCBS (New York), KCBS (Los Angeles), WBBM (Chicago), KYW (Philadelphia), WBZ (Boston), KTVT (Dallas), WCCO (Minneapolis), KCNC (Denver), KUTV (Salt Lake City) and KEYE (Austin), all of which will air the series as of the 2005-2006 season, as well as WWJ (Detroit), KMAX (Sacramento), KDKA (Pittsburgh), WJZ (Baltimore) and WGNT (Norfolk), all of which will begin airing the series as of the 2006-2007 season.

Dr. Phil, which is currently seen on 210 stations representing more than 99% of the country, has been a ratings sensation since it debuted in September 2002. Currently in its third season, Dr. Phil is delivering the highest seasonal average national ratings in its history. Season-to-date, the series is up 13% in households versus the same period during its first season. The series also has made significant gains in key demos - up 29% in W18-34, up 15% W18-49 and up 13% W25-54 versus its debut season.
