August 3, 2005, Santa Monica, CA - Dr. Phillip C. McGraw, host of the critically acclaimed daily, syndicated, hour-long series, Dr. Phil, and Roger King, CEO of King World Productions and CBS Enterprises, today announced that King World has retained the distribution rights to Dr. Phil for an additional five years, taking the series through the 2013-2014 television seasons.

In addition, King World announced it has renewed the series on 15 Viacom television stations through the 2010-2011 season. The stations include WCBS (New York), KCBS (Los Angeles), WBBM (Chicago), KYW (Philadelphia), WBZ (Boston), KTVT (Dallas), WCCO (Minneapolis), KCNC (Denver), KUTV (Salt Lake City) and KEYE (Austin), all of which will air the series as of the 2005-2006 season, as well as WWJ (Detroit), KMAX (Sacramento), KDKA (Pittsburgh), WJZ (Baltimore) and WGNT (Norfolk), all of which will begin airing the series as of the 2006-2007 season.

"It is an honor to be invited to millions of viewers' homes in the U.S. and around the world, said Dr. Phil. It is a privilege and not something I take lightly. Our show continues to be driven by viewers and by what they consider relevant. I am excited to have this continued opportunity for so many years to come."

Dr. Phil has become an American icon in record time, said King, and his series ratings just keep getting stronger and stronger. Dr. Phils popularity is still growing, and were thrilled to know well be bringing stations this top-quality series well into the next decade.

Dr. Phil, which is currently seen on 210 stations representing more than 99% of the country, has been a ratings sensation since it debuted in September 2002. Currently in its third season, Dr. Phil is delivering the highest seasonal average national ratings in its history. Season-to-date, the series is up 13% in households versus the same period during its first season.
