Gayle King to Guest Star on ABC's "Hot Properties"

[via press release from ABC]

GAYLE KING TO GUEST STAR ON ABCS HOT PROPERTIES

Gayle King will guest star in an upcoming episode of Hot Properties, it was announced today. Shes playing a role that only she knows, Oprah Winfreys longtime best friend.

In the episode Waiting for Oprah, airing FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (9:30-10:00 p.m.), on the ABC Television Network, Ava (Gail OGrady) celebrates a big real estate sale by surprising the ladies with a dream come true: four hard-to-get tickets to see The Oprah Winfrey Show -- the woman they refer to as kind of like our God -- at a television taping in Chicago. But when one of the priceless tickets goes missing, theyre willing to do whatever it takes to get another one. Things start to look up when they have a chance encounter with Gayle.

The women on Hot Properties, like myself, are obsessed with all things Oprah, and more than a little jealous of Gayle, said creator and executive producer Suzanne Martin. I cant tell you what a thrill for all of us it is to have her be a part of our show.

Gayle King has been the editor-at-large for the award-winning O, The Oprah Magazine since its inception in 2000. A former television reporter and talk show host, the Emmy-award winning King is no stranger to the national television spotlight. In 1991 she was co-host of Cover to Cover, a talk show on NBC. In September of 1997, she hosted her own syndicated talk show.

Hot Properties is an ensemble comedy featuring four unpredictable women working together in a Manhattan real estate office. These very different career women are at various stages in their lives and, when theyre not catering to high-end clients, theyre coping with their own personal predicaments.

Hot Properties stars Gail OGrady as Ava Summerlin, Nicole Sullivan as Chloe Reid, Sofa Vergara as Lola Hernandez, Christina Moore as Emerson Ives, Stephen Dunham as Dr. Charlie Thorpe and Evan Handler as Dr. Sellers Boyd and Amy Hill as Mary.

The creator/executive producer is Suzanne Martin, and the co-executive producer is Jay Daniel. The series is from Interbang Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television Production Inc.
