New York, New York - March 22, 2007 - AMC announced today several new series in development for the network. The projects bring television heavy weights such as Tom Fontana (OZ); Freddie DeMann (The Life and Death of Peter Sellers) and William Finkelstein (Law & Order); Kip Koenig (Grey's Anatomy) and David Semel (Heroes, House); Karen Hall (E-Ring, Judging Amy); Michael Oates Palmer (Shark, West Wing); Jason Rothenberg (Girlfight) and Scott Villa (The Simple Life, Medical Investigation); Adam Glass (All About the Andersons); Bob Cooper and Orin Woinsky of Landscape Entertainment; and Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner (The Lone Ranger, 2003) to the network, further expanding and solidifying AMC's original programming strategy.

"AMC is committed to creating an environment of cinematic quality, and it is gratifying to see that our vision is resonating with such high profile talent," stated AMC's Executive Vice President of Programming and Production, Rob Sorcher. "As we continue our investment in original programming, it's exciting to team up with such an amazing collection of talented individuals and we are confident that this new slate will yield compelling, high quality content for the network."

Today's announcement comes on the heels of significant original programming activity from AMC over the past year, including the network's first original drama series, Mad Men, from writer/producer Matthew Weiner (The Sopranos) slated to premiere in Summer 2007; the remake of the 1960s groundbreaking television classic The Prisoner, which AMC will co-produce with UK's Granada and Sky One; a one-hour dramatic pilot Breaking Bad, from writer/producer Vince Gilligan (The X-Files) that follows the story of a desperate man with nothing to lose - and what he is willing to do for his family's survival; as well as a recently announced development deal for a one-hour untitled western from Walter Hill (award winning director of AMC's first original movie, Broken Trail) and Ron Parker (Joan of Arc). Additionally in 2006, AMC signed a co-production deal with BBC for the critically acclaimed drama Hustle, which will premiere its fourth season on the network April 18, at 10pm.

2006 ranked as AMC's best performing year ever in primetime household deliveries and 2007 is continuing the momentum with the networks strongest January and February ever, as well as continued top ten status in the month of March in key demo delivery including Men 25-54 and Adult 25-54. Quarter-to-date, AMC is pacing to reach its best 1Q ever.
