Hot New Dice Trend and Fundraising Event to Premiere on Friday, May 11th with Special Guest Celebrity Chef Sandra Lee

CINCINNATI, May 8 Watch out Poker, Bunco is rolling in! The popular dice game played by over 17 million women nationwide now has its own show, airing Friday, May 11th at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime Television with a re-broadcast on Sunday, May 13th at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT. Now everyone who missed out on the trip to Las Vegas will be able to see first-hand the journey players made for the chance to be crowned the Prilosec OTC(R) Bunco World Champion.

Highlights of the show will include a behind-the-scenes look as five women travel from across the nation to Las Vegas to compete for the championship title. The hour-long program will feature special appearances by Celebrity Chef Sandra Lee who will show these Bunco ladies how to throw the ultimate heartburn-friendly Bunco party. Sandra Lee was also on hand to cheer on the women as they competed for the $50,000 cash prize.

Bunco may not be a household name, but it is rapidly becoming a household game. This dice game favored by women as an alternative to "poker night" has turned into a hot new suburban trend. Like most dice games, Bunco is based primarily on luck. For the women who play, Bunco is not merely a game, but a reason to connect with female friends for a home cooked meal, good gossip and just plain fun.

P&G found that twice as many frequent heartburn sufferers regularly play Bunco compared to the general population. The Lifetime special will follow five Bunco players from across the United States on their journey to Las Vegas.

-- Christine from Shoreview, Minnesota is a bride-to-be who is traveling to the Prilosec OTC Bunco World Championship on her Bachelorette weekend.

-- Judy and Deann from Cleburne, Texas are a mother/daughter duo that are looking to trade in time at their Texas Ranch for a weekend of fun and games in Las Vegas.

-- Kim from Blythewood, South Carolina is a quintessential PTA Mom who is looking forward to a much needed girl's getaway and to trying her luck at the Prilosec OTC Bunco World Championship.

-- Elsa and her Bunco group from Dallas, Texas are in it for the charity. This group's goal is to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, while still managing to make some time for the slot machines.

Party with a Purpose

Traditionally, women have also used these gatherings as an opportunity to talk with friends about health concerns like breast cancer as well as to raise money for breast cancer research.
