BRAVO IS UP 10 PERCENT YEAR-TO-YEAR IN 18-49 TO DELIVER ITS BIGGEST SUMMER EVER

BURBANK, Calif. September 4, 2007 The NBC Universal Entertainment Cable Networks, USA Network, SCI FI Channel and BRAVO, have delivered 10 of this summer's top 25 original basic-cable entertainment series in adults 25-54, twice as many as any other cable group, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

USA's "The Starter Wife," "Burn Notice," "WWE Entertainment," "Monk" and "Psych" accounted for five of the summer's top seven and teamed with SCI FI's "Eureka" and "Ghost Hunters," Bravo's Emmy-nominated "Top Chef" and USA's "The 4400" and "The Dead Zone" to account for more of this summer's top-25 original basic-cable entertainment series than any other group. The list is determined by averages of original telecasts only and excludes shows that ran substantial portions of their seasons outside the summer months*. Figures are "live plus seven day" Nielsen ratings, except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

While the NBC Universal Entertainment Cable Networks account for 10 shows on that top-25 list, the Turner cable networks are #2 with five shows on the list.

It's been a hot summer for all three NBC Universal Entertainment Cable Networks. USA was the #1 network in all of cable in primetime among adults 25-54 (1.3 million), adults 18-49 (1.3 million) and adults 18-34 (584,00). Among ad-supported cable networks, USA was also #1 in households (2.1 coverage rating) and total viewers (2.8 million).

USA was the #1 basic-cable network in 25-54 on every night that it regularly ran original programming -- on Mondays with "WWE Monday Night Raw," on Thursdays with "The Starter Wife" and "Burn Notice," on Fridays with "Monk and "Psyche" and on Sundays with "The Dead Zone" and "The 4400."

For the summer of 2007, SCI FI Channel delivered primetime year-over-year gains of 4 percent in 18-49 viewers (586,000), 5 percent in 25-54 viewers (657,000) and 3 percent in total viewers (1.208 million). It's SCI FI's best summer ever among adults 18-34 (229,000) and women 18-34 (103,000).

Top SCI FI performers this summer included "Ghost Hunters," which delivered its best season to date, "Destination Truth," SCI FI's strongest alternative series launch since "Ghost Hunters," and "Eureka," SCI FI's top series for 2007 to date. "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth" teamed up this summer to deliver four of the top 10 Wednesdays ever for SCI FI in primetime 18-49 viewers.

Bravo delivered its biggest summer numbers ever in adults 18-49 (341,000 viewers in primetime), total viewers (635,000) and other key categories. Versus the summer of 2006, Bravo was up 10 percent in 18-49 (341,000 vs. 310,000) and up 15 percent in total viewers (635,000 vs. 552,000).

Propelling Bravo to these summer heights were season three of the Emmy-nominated "Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List," which soared 66 percent above its season-two average in 18-49 (630,000 vs. 379,000) and 58 percent above season two in total viewers (855,000 vs. 541,000); the Emmy-nominated "Top Chef 3," which is running up 17 percent in 18-49 (1.390 million vs. 1.193 million) versus "Top Chef 2" and up 24 percent among total viewers (2.099 million vs. 1.697 million) through nine episodes; and " Flipping Out," which achieved its strongest numbers to date with its August 21 debut of episode four (458,000 adults 18-49 and 623,000 total viewers).
