NBC.COM ON THE GO WITH MORE MOBILE SITES AND VIDEO FOR 2008

Nearly 40 WAP Sites, Mobile Video Sites, Interactive Games Among Offerings

BURBANK, Calif. January 29, 2008 NBC.com today announced its full roster of mobile, or WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), sites. With nearly forty WAP and three mobile video channels, NBC Digital Entertainment boasts more than any other broadcast network. The announcement was made by Vivi Zigler, Executive Vice President, NBC Digital Entertainment.

"Mobile is the new frontier of the new frontier of digital entertainment," said Zigler. "We are experimenting and learning as much as we can in this space given the proliferation of cell phones in the market and it is our desire to provide the same high quality entertainment experience our users have come to expect of us."

By creating a WAP site for most NBC Entertainment show on air, NBC.com is extending its online web experience to the wireless market. NBC.com also boasts mobile video channels, which include full episodes as well as short form video clips, delivered on wireless devices. Also, NBC.com maintains some of the most popular mobile show sites for "Deal or No Deal" and "Biggest Loser" as well as the "Heroes" Trivia and "Create Your Own Hero" game platforms. Ten new sites will launch in the next few weeks for "Saturday Night Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Lipstick Jungle," and "American Gladiators" among them.

Additionally, in February, NBC.com will be rolling out a site-wide send to mobile widget on all show sites.

While there are an estimated 244 million mobile device users in the U.S., Internet access and video viewing on wireless is still in its infancy, but in just the fourth quarter of 2007, over 500,000 mobile video-on-demand streams have been delivered. Also in fourth quarter 2007 alone, NBC.com saw over 1.6 million page views on its WAP sites.
