NASHVILLE April 3, 2008 Grammy-winning pop band Maroon 5 along with one of country's hottest superstars - multi-platinum artist and 2006 ACM Female Vocalist of the year - Sara Evans are featured in the new installment of CMT CROSSROADS. CMT CROSSROADS: MAROON 5 AND SARA EVANS premieres Friday, May 9 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT.

Taped before an invitation only audience in Nashville, Maroon 5 and Sara Evans came together for a night of harmony in this new CMT CROSSROADS. Also featured are the Maroon 5 hits "This Love," "She Will Be Loved" and "Won't Go Home Without You." They also pay homage to Don Henley with their rendition of "Leather and Lace."

Maroon 5 and Sara Evans join an elite group of performers who have taped CMT CROSSROADS, which pairs country music stars with popular artists from other genrespop, rock, R&Bto play together, swap stories, and share their common love of music. Previous episodes of CROSSROADS have included Lindsey Buckingham and Little Big Town; Bon Jovi and Sugarland; John Fogerty and Keith Urban; Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire; Joss Stone and LeAnn Rimes; and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

Nominated this year for two Grammys (Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group with Vocals for "Makes Me Wonder" and Best Pop Vocal Album), A&M/Octone artists Maroon 5 debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and rocketed to No. 1 on the "Hot 100 Singles chart" with their recent album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, and lead track "Makes Me Wonder," respectively. The multi-platinum-selling quintet (guitarist/vocalist Adam Levine, guitarist James Valentine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden and drummer Matt Flynn) are no strangers to Grammy gold, having won "Best New Artist" in 2005 and "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" in 2006. It Won't Be Soon Before Long began breaking records before its May 2007 release: it sold more pre-sale copies on iTunes than any other album in iTunes history. The single, video and album consecutively hit No. 1 on iTunes sales charts. It Won't Be Soon Before Long has sold over a million and a half copies to date. With their debut album, Songs about Jane, Maroon 5 earned the 2005 Grammy Award for "Best New Artist." The album has been certified quadruple platinum in the U.S. and has reached gold or platinum status in over 35 countries. The disc has sold over ten million units worldwide. In 2006 the group earned another Grammy for "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" for a live recording of their international hit single "This Love."

Multi-platinum recording artist Sara Evans recently celebrated her 10-year career with the release of her first Greatest Hits package. The album features four new songs, "As If," "Love You with All My Heart," "Pray for You" and "Some Things Never Change," all co-penned by Evans. Also featured on the album are hits from her celebrated career that has spawned three Top 5 singles and four No. 1 songs including "No Place That Far," "Born to Fly," "Suds in the Bucket," "A Real Fine Place to Start," and "I Could Not Ask for More," among others. Evans has been honored with numerous accolades, among them the Academy of Country Music's Female Vocalist of the Year and the Country Music Association's Video of the Year for "Born to Fly". Evans has been named one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" and won the hearts of television viewer's as the first-ever country star to compete in ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Most recently, she was a co-host on "The View" in December.
