THE BEAST (A&E) - Variety reports the freshman drama won't be returning a second season. The network itself however has yet to confirm the news as its options on the cast won't expire until later this summer.
HEROES (NBC) - Robert Knepper ("Prison Break") is set to appear in at least six episodes of the show's upcoming fourth season. He'll play Samuel, "a Jim Jones type -- charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor -- who will veer into the lives of all heroes." In addition, Entertainment Weeklyalso reports Ray Park and Deanne Bray have likewise scored roles. The latter will play the deaf love interest for one of the main characters while Park's character wasn't specified.
V (ABC) - "Harper's Island" showrunner Jeffrey Bell has inked a two-year, seven-figure overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The pact calls for him to serve as showrunner on the midseason drama as well as develop new series projects for the studio. Jace Hall, Steve Pearlman and Scott Peters also serve as executive producers on the series.
