RESCUE ME (FX) - Co-creator Peter Tolan has inked a three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. The pact sets up his still unnamed production banner with agent-turned-producer Michael Wimer at the studio where he'll develop new series projects. It's understood Tolan wants to return to his multi-camera roots, where he got his start on such series as "Murphy Brown" and "Home Improvement." No financial details however were released. Tolan previously worked under the vanity card The Cloudland Company however the new company is expected to go with a new moniker.
