90210 (The CW) - "Gilmore Girls" alum Scott Patterson has booked an arc on the show's sophomore season, Entertainment Weekly reports. He'll play the biological father of Matt Lanter's character in at least two episodes.


DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (ABC) - The publication likewise reports Jane Leeves ("Frasier") is set for two episodes of ABC's signature Sunday soap. She's on board as Tom's (Doug Savant) psychotherapist.


FRINGE (FOX) - Orla Brady ("Shark") has been cast as the late wife of Walter Bishop (John Noble)/mother of Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson). Details about her appearance - flashback? resurrection? alternate universe doppelganger? - weren't released.


MURMURS (CBS, New!) - Jason Smilovic ("My Own Worst Enemy") is developing a new drama at the Eye set in a world where time travel is a reality. Said hour, which comes from CBS Television Studios, revolves around the Commission, "an agency that detects and corrects alterations in time called murmurs, ensuring that history remains unchanged." Smilovic is penning the hour and executive producing alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and her self-titled banner. Tyler Mitchell, Smilovic's producing partner, will also serve as a supervising producer with Marisa Yeres as a co-producer.


RETIRED AT 35 (TV Land) - Johnathan McClain, Josh McDermitt and Ryan Michelle Bathe have all joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about "a successful businessman who decides to leave the rat race of New York City behind and move into his parents' Florida retirement home to reconnect with them, reevaluate his life and live the dream of retirement that so many are working towards." They'll join the previously cast George Segal, who plays the man's father. Details about the aforementioned trio however weren't released. Chris Case is behind the multi-camera half-hour, which films next week.
