CUTTHROAT (ABC, New!) - "Reaper" co-creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters have landed a new drama at the Alphabet about "an ambitious single mother who finds running her own international drug cartel is perfect training for navigating the cutthroat world of Beverly Hills high society." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour, which has a pilot commitment. Fazekas and Butters wrote the script and will executive produce.
GENERATION Y (ABC, New!) - "The Unusuals" creator Noah Hawley is back in business with the Alphabet, this time for a new drama about "a group of people in the present with flashbacks to 10 years ago when they were in their senior year of high school." ABC has given a pilot order to the docu-style project, which is based on the Scandinavian series "God's Highway." Hawley penned the ABC Studios-based hour and is executive producing alongside Warren Littlefield as well as Henrik Bastin, Peter Magnasson and Martin Piersson of Stockholm-Copenhagen Productions.
STRANGE BREW (FOX, New!) - "Will & Grace" co-creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick have booked a new multi-camera comedy pilot at the network. The Warner Bros. Television-based half-hour revolves around a family-owned brewery. Kohan and Mutchnick penned the project and are executive producing. No other specifics were released.
UNDERCOVERS (NBC) - Carter MacIntyre ("American Heiress") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Steven (Boris Kodjoe) and Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), "a husband and wife who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement." He'll play "a CIA agent with a drinking problem who goes "missing" while trailing a Russian arms dealer." Gerald McRaney, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Ben Schwartz also star in the hour, which comes from Warner Bros. Television and co-creators J.J. Abrams and Josh Reims.
THE WHOLE TRUTH (ABC) - Tom Donaghy's drama script has received the go ahead to produce a pilot. The legal drama is "focused on showing evenly both the defense and the prosecution as they build and try a case." Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television is behind the hour, which Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are executive producing. Donaghy and KristieAnne Reed then will serve as co-executive producers.
