LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 -- On the heels of the Lifetime Original Movie The Pregnancy Pact's astounding success during its Saturday, January 23, premiere, Lifetime Television announced that it has scheduled a special encore presentation of the film to air on Thursday, January 28, from 7:00 9:00 pm (ET/PT). The film will air prior to the encore of last week's episode of Lifetime's hit unscripted series Project Runway.

Based on the film's strong performance during its debut, the controversial issue of teen pregnancy has clearly hit a nerve with the public. Moreover, the film generated the highest delivery among multiple demographics in the network's 26 year history. With a 4.2 Household rating, The Pregnancy Pact averaged 5.9 million Total Viewers during its premiere. It was also the most watched Original Movie premiere for the network ever among Women 18-34, Women 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. In addition, of the 214 Lifetime Original Movies, the film now ranks as the fourth highest rated movie among Women 18-49 in Lifetime's history. Online, The Pregnancy Pact also significantly increased traffic to the network's official website, myLifetime.com, which generated more than 3.8 million page views over the weekend, the second most trafficked weekend in the site's history.

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Camryn Manheim (Ghost Whisperer, The Practice), Nancy Travis (The Bill Engvall Show, Becker), Golden Globe-nominee Thora Birch (Ghost World, American Beauty) and Madisen Beaty (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) star. Inspired by a true story, the film explores the costs of teen pregnancy set against the backdrop of the infamous alleged 2008 "pregnancy pact" in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Sidney Bloom (Birch), an on-line magazine journalist, returns to her hometown to investigate the sudden spike in teenage pregnancies at her old high school. Almost immediately, she comes up against Lorraine Dougan (Travis), the head of the local conservative values group and mother of Sara (Beaty), a newly pregnant 15-year-old. Meanwhile, the school nurse (Manheim) tries to convince the school to provide contraception to students to address the pregnancy epidemic but is met with great opposition from the school and community. As the number of pregnant girls climbs to 18, a media firestorm erupts when Time Magazine reports that the rise in the number of pregnancies at the school is the result of a "pregnancy pact." As the mystery unfolds about whether or not "the pact" is real, Sidney soon realizes that all of the attention is disguising the much larger issues that are at the core of the story.

The Pregnancy Pact is produced by Frank & Bob Films for Lifetime Television. Robert M. Sertner and Frank von Zerneck (Lifetime's Acceptance, Lifetime Movie Network's Natalee Holloway) are executive producers. Rosemary Rodriguez (Acts of Worship, Rescue Me) directed from a script written by Pamela Davis (House) and Teena Booth (Lifetime's Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, Lifetime Movie Network's Natalee Holloway).
